Merry Chrysler! (12/26/19)

O Tannenbaum!
It's Christmas (or at least my p-day right after christmas) here in the CCM. I thought this would be a good time to send out a mass email. Everything here at the CCM has been really amazing (minus the food) and the spirit I feel every day is so strong. This will be the first year that I will have been away from home. Even though I'm missing out on all of my family's traditions, this christmas has been one of the best. I really enjoy my district and for christmas we spent most of the day sharing all of the snacks that our parents sent us. It was super interesting being here during christmas. We had a service project that was putting together care packages for refugees. I actually really enjoyed myself. I never thought I would be the person to say that I really enjoyed, let alone had fun at a service project. But feeling that christlike love for people I don't even know was the best feeling I could have had during christmas. Later we were able to hit piñatas, which was a party. We were taught what the original meaning of piñatas were. Apparently they originally symbolized the 7 deadly sins with the 7 points of the piñata and by hitting it, it symbolizes overcoming the sins. All the candy that comes out symbolizes the blessings that come from overcoming the sins. The rest of the day was really relaxing. we watched light the world videos, I happy cried a few times and we had a white elephant gift exchange. It was a really great day filled with the spirit and I just want to say that I am so grateful for the love and support of everyone. I miss you all and hope you had a good christmas experience. Talk to you all soon.
